Biography of Investigator:
I am originally from Scottsdale, Arizona and graduated from Colorado State University College of Veterinary Medicine and Biomedical Sciences in 1996. Following an internship in equine ambulatory medicine at North Carolina State University College of Veterinary Medicine, I returned to Colorado State University to pursue a residency in Diagnostic Imaging. I successfully completed my training and became a board certified radiologist in the American College of Veterinary Radiology in 2001. I joined the Diagnostic Imaging Faculty in November 2007, after working in private practice for seven years. My husband and I currently reside in Fort Collins with our three, energetic Pointers.

Classes Taught/Currently Teaching:

  • ERHS701 Diagnostic Imaging Modalities
  • ERHS712 Physics of Diagnostic Imaging
  • ERHS721 Radiation Oncology
  • VM625 Principles in Diagnostic Imaging
  • VM726 Principles in Imaging Interpretation I
  • VM728 Principles in Imaging Interpretation II

Research Focus:
As a new faculty member, I currently do not have a specific research focus. However, as a radiologist, I understand the importance of Diagnostic Imaging in the diagnosis, staging, and monitoring of oncology patients. My research interest is directed toward clinical patients and trials, and my skills as a radiologist to assist in those trials.

Future Direction:
With the assistance of other specialists, I would like to develop an Interventional Radiology service at Colorado State University. I foresee the service starting slowly and growing over time as we learn about the all the possible procedures available to us. I am also currently the primary radiologist in Nuclear Medicine and would like to investigate the application of less common nuclear medicine studies in the evaluation and staging of oncology patients.
